Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she completed her secondary education. With a deep-rooted passion for family law, Ashley's present legal practice is centered around a variety of aspects of family matters. She focuses the majority of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes, marital property distribution and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions as well as concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year. She assists parties to resolve their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. In addition to court-appointed mediation, Ashley also mediates in private cases for individuals who want to stay clear of the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was placed among the top 10 students of her class. While in law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the prestigious Western New England Law Review and demonstrated her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

After completing her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship experience, working for prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned home to Hagerstown, Maryland, to work as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her primary focus at the firm was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Through her dedicated efforts, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who had suffered neglect or abuse at the hands of their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social injustice went beyond her legal profession as she served as an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She was a tireless worker to raise awareness about human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding partner at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and established her practice in family law - divorce, custody, child maintenance and guardianships and financial and estate planning, wills, trusts, power of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. The company was founded with the goal of providing a personalized approach to every client's needs.
