Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a love for it. She focuses a majority of her practice in divorce cases, alimony disputes property distribution in marital relationships child custody battles child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions as well as child welfare concerns. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. Ashley mediates private matters as well as court-appointed mediation for those who want to stay clear of the court process and litigation.

After finishing her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Maryland, where she earned two bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. When she graduated in 2013, she excelled academically, placing among the top 10 students in her class. While at law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the prestigious Western New England Law Review which showcased her dedication to legal scholarship and research.

Following the completion of her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship experience, working for prominent jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to work as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned home to Hagerstown Maryland to serve as an attorney for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. The primary role she played at the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters pertaining to child welfare. Through her dedicated efforts, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who had suffered abuse or neglect at the hands of their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice extended beyond the realm of law since she was actively an executive member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, working diligently to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law such as divorce child support, custody and guardianships as well as estate planning - wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxies - and mediation.

Ashley started Wilburn Law Office, LLC, in 2023, with an intention to provide an individual approach to each client's requirements.
